Born in Jackson, Tennessee, Ms. Cobb has lived all over the Southeast. She grew up primarily in Northern Virginia, but graduated from Pope High School in Marietta, Georgia. After high school she attended Vanderbilt University where she earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. After college she relocated to Winston-Salem, North Carolina where she worked for the Wake Forest University Medical School conducting scientific research in the fields of Microbiology and Immunology. After publishing two scientific papers, she decided to attend law school at Wake Forest Law School in Winston-Salem.
At Wake Forest, Ms. Cobb served on the Intellectual Property Law Journal and was a member of the Innocence Project. Ms. Cobb also took numerous classes to hone her litigation skills including the Litigation Clinic, Trial Practice and Advanced Trial Practice, and was a member of the American Association for Justice Trial Team for both her second and third year of law school.
After graduating from law school Ms. Cobb returned to her hometown to practice at Spragins, Barnett & Cobb, PLC. There she gained experience in general civil litigation, family law and criminal defense. After almost two years in Tennessee, she decided to return to North Carolina to focus primarily on criminal defense.
