Charlotte Criminal Defense Attorney and Winner of The Charlotte Observer’s 2013 Best Charlotte Lawyer Award Brad Smith of Arnold & Smith, PLLC answers the question: "Do I need to hire an attorney if I have been falsely accused?"

Question: Do I need to hire an attorney if I have been falsely accused?

Brad Smith:

So the simple answer to that question is regardless of whether or not you are innocent or guilty of a criminal offense you need an attorney.

Logic would say that if you are indeed innocent of a criminal offense you probably need an attorney that much more. Because, a real failing of the justice system is when an actual innocent person gets punished for something that they didn’t do.
