WE FIGHT TO WIN!
Michaela Cotton
Michaela Cotton grew up in Virginia Beach, Virginia. She attended the University of Viriginia where she studied abroad one summer studying French in Lyon, France. After graduation, Michaela decided to pursue the legal field and worked as a legal assistant in family law for about two years. After discovering her passion for helping families, Michaela continued her education at William & Mary Law School. During law school, she interned at family law firm, performed pro bono work as an extern at the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia, and was a research assistant for her school’s family law professor. Michaela was also heavily involved in her school’s Bill of Rights Journal. She served both as an associate editor and a senior articles editor, and her student note on constitutional law was published in her journal. Michaela also organized a charity event, kitten yoga, at the local animal shelter through her involvement with the Student Environmental & Animal Law Society board.
In her free time, Michaela enjoys running (with the goal of running a half marathon in every state), pickleball, tennis, reading, and going on outdoor adventures with her two rescue dogs and her fiancé Eric.
