Erica Yarborough

Erica Yarborough was born and raised in Davidson County. She attended Central Davidson High School, participating in National Honors Society, Tri-M, AP Psychology Club, and being a member of the Wind Ensemble throughout her high school career.

Erica obtained her undergraduate degree from Appalachian State University, where she majored in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Professional Studies and obtained minors in Criminal Justice and Communication Science Disorders. While pursuing her undergraduate degree, Erica was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, serving on the judicial board. During her time at Appalachian, she also participated in an International Service Experience where she traveled to San Ignacio, Belize and worked in the Belize Botanical Gardens.

After graduating from Appalachian in May 2020, Erica went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University School of Law in Durham, North Carolina. There, Erica participated as a Research Assistant for the TechLaw and Policy Center, served as the Secretary for the International Law Society, became a Constitutional Law Tutor, and was also a member of The Women’s Law Caucus. Erica made the Fall 2022 and Spring 2023 Dean’s List, and graduated cum laude in May 2023 while also obtaining her Alternative Dispute Resolution certificate.

After passing the July 2023 Bar Exam, Erica moved to Mooresville, NC to start her career. Erica focuses her practice on family law cases including divorce, equitable distribution, child custody, child support, and alimony.

In Erica’s spare time she enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and playing with her cat, Salem.
